Surgical Approaches
Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF)

Post-Operative Care

- •Strict soft diet for 6 weeks
- •May have wires or rubber bands (MMF) for 2–6 weeks
- •Oral hygiene is critical. Rinse after every meal
- •Jaw exercises after MMF removed
Orbital and Cheekbone Fractures
- •No nose blowing for 2–4 weeks
- •Avoid bending over or straining
- •Use decongestant as prescribed
- •Eye drops if prescribed
General Recovery
