Before Your Procedure
- •Do not eat or drink anything after midnight before your surgery
- •Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home
- •Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
- •Remove all jewelry, contact lenses, and nail polish
- •Inform us of any changes in your health or medications
- •Do not smoke for at least 24 hours before surgery

After Your Procedure
- •Rest and limit physical activity for 24-48 hours
- •Apply ice packs to reduce swelling (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off)
- •Take prescribed medications as directed
- •Eat soft foods and avoid hot liquids for the first 24 hours
- •Do not rinse, spit, or use a straw for 24 hours after surgery
- •Call our office immediately if you experience severe pain, excessive bleeding, or fever
