Dr. Joseph Krajekian

Dr. Krajekian is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who believes that every patient deserves honest, thoughtful care. He earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from Drexel College of Medicine, followed by six years of surgical training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He spent over eight years on staff at the Cleveland Clinic and more than five years as associate clinical faculty at Case Western School of Dental Medicine.
He has focused much of his career on integrating virtual reality and surgical planning into complex reconstructive cases, dental implants, and orthognathic surgery. He serves as a medical advisor and educator for Immersive Touch VR in Chicago and continues to explore 3D custom titanium printing, stem cell applications, and regenerative therapies to improve outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Krajekian also holds certifications in AI Applications in Healthcare from Stanford University and Vanderbilt University, which he applies to develop better tools for patient care and recovery. He currently serves as a staff member at Cleveland Clinic - South Pointe Hospital and University Hospital - Ahuja Medical Center, and as a visiting professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Through numerous trips to Central and South America, Dr. Krajekian has performed complex reconstructive surgeries in sub-optimal conditions, often in facilities lacking the advanced equipment found in modern hospitals. His commitment to global health has led him to serve on the boards of various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and as the global chair of the Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) division of an international NGO.
The introduction of virtual reality into his humanitarian work has elevated what is possible in these challenging environments. By rehearsing complex surgeries before arriving on-site, Dr. Krajekian and his team can execute procedures that would traditionally require months of planning, transforming the scope and impact of each mission. This integration of cutting-edge technology with compassionate service has taken humanitarian surgery to another level, enabling world-class outcomes in communities that need them most.
