Post-Operative Care

Implant + Bone Graft Combined Procedure Recovery

Combined implant and bone graft procedures require extended healing and careful protection. Proper care is essential for successful bone integration and long-term implant success.

    Bone Graft Protection

The bone graft requires careful protection during initial healing. Avoid chewing near the graft site and maintain strict oral hygiene.

    Extended Timeline

Combined procedures require 3-6 months total healing. Bone graft must integrate before implant osseointegration begins.

    No Smoking

Smoking severely compromises both graft success and implant integration. Avoid all tobacco for optimal outcomes.

    Meticulous Care

Both sites require exceptional oral hygiene and careful protection. Your diligence directly impacts long-term success.

    Important Reminder

Your combined implant and bone graft procedure represents a significant investment in your oral health. Success depends on your commitment to following these instructions carefully.

The bone graft must integrate successfully before the implant can achieve optimal osseointegration. This extended timeline (3-6 months) requires patience and diligent care throughout the entire healing process.
